Executive MBA (Africa University), B. Com in Marketing Management (University of South Africa, Diploma in Short Term Insurance (Insurance Institute of Zimbabwe) Diploma in Financial Planning (Institute of Bankers of South Africa), Certificate in Pension Funds Trusteeship, Certificate of Proficiency in Short Term Insurance, Member of Marketing Association of Zimbabwe (MAZ) 20 Years’ Experience.

Caroline Mbofana has over 20 years of experience in business development and marketing at strategic level from Short Terms Insurance and Health Funding industry. She has held various roles in Marketing and Operations at Aon Zimbabwe, Trustfin, Fidelity Life Assurance and Steward Health (now Maisha Health). Prior to joining WFDR, Caroline was Head of Operations, then Business Development & Marketing at Generation Health since 2014.

Caroline holds a BCom in Marketing Management from the University of South Africa and an Executive MBA from Africa University. She is a holder of a Diploma in Insurance from the Insurance Institute of Zimbabwe as well as a Diploma in Financial Planning from the Institute of Bankers of South Africa. She is member of the Marketers Association.

Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ACIS), Registered Public Accountant (RPAZ), Certificate of Proficiency (IIZ), 27 Years’ Experience

Lorcadia has 27 years’ experience at Executive and Managerial level in Banking, Asset Management, Life Assurance and Manufacturing. Prior to joining WFDR Risk Services, She was Company Secretary for Steward Bank from July 2012. Prior to that, she was Group Company Secretary for TN Holdings Limited and Tedco Limited. She also held Financial Accounting and Compliance positions with First Mutual Life Assurance Company, First Mutual Asset Management and Fidelity Life Asset Management. She also ran her own children’s wear manufacturing and retail company.

Lorcadia holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Financial Management) degree (Unisa), a Master of Commerce in Strategic Management and Corporate Governance and she is a Chartered Secretary (ACIS) and a Registered Public Accountant (RPA). She is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Harare Central and as a hobby she has a certificate in Advanced Dressmaking and Pattern Cutting from the Harare Polytechnic.

Diligence is a seasoned Business Development Manager with over 8 years of experience spanning the insurance value chain. He has worked for various companies including THI Insurance and Safel Insurance and has served as a Director at Virtual Actuaries and Risk Advisory. Diligence is a strategic visionary known for driving business growth and excels at leveraging expansive global network to identify and seize lucrative market opportunities, consistently delivering results in competitive environments.

Diligence holds an MBA in Strategic Management (NUST), Associate with the Insurance Institute of South Africa and holds multiple industry-specific certifications. Diligence combines in-depth knowledge of insurance markets with a sophisticated, results-oriented approach to business development. Recognized for successfully navigating complex contracts and fostering high-level client relationships, Diligence is committed to advancing industry innovation while consistently exceeding growth targets and ensuring sustainable success for stakeholders.

Ignatious Pasimupindu

Master’s in business administration (Herriot University) – current studies, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Chartered Governance and Accounting Institute (CGI), 20 Years’ Experience

Ignatious H Pasimupindu has over 20 years’ experience in the short-term insurance industry across financial and accounting reporting, strategy formulation, management buyouts, reinsurance accounting, budgeting, and budgetary control.

He has worked for various insurance companies namely Nicoz Diamond, THI Insurance Company, Sanctuary Insurance Company as well as Evolution Group comprising Evolution Insurance, Evolution Health and Line and Glen Forest Memorial Park.

He is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Chartered Governance and Accounting Institute (CGI). He is currently studying Masters in Business Administration with Herriot Watt University in conjunction with Edinburgh Business School.

WFDR Risk Services have over 40 years of experience providing expert short-term insurance advice for both businesses and individuals. Our Directors bring more than a century of industry expertise in insurance, governance, business strategy and accounting among several other fields.

Simba Mangwende

Position: Chairman

Simba Mangwende

Simba is a Chartered Accountant who attended Said Business School Oxford University private equity program and Center for Creative Leadership – Leadership at the Peak Colorado USA. Simba served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Tedco (Zimbabwe) Ltd, Chairman of Evolution Group Holdings, Non-executive Director of Amalgamated Regional Trading (ART) Limited and ART Holdings Ltd, Strategies Holdings Limited, Africom (Private) Ltd and Jetmaster Zimbabwe (Private) Limited. He was the Structured Finance Executive for ABSA Bank South Africa before taking on the entrepreneurial route. He is also the Co-Founder of Interfin Holdings Limited.

Donald Mc Donald

Position: Non-Executive Director

Donald Mc Donald

Don is a Chartered Accountant. He currently chairs the MoHCC board. He sits on the board for Cimas Medical Aid Society, Cancer Association of Zimbabwe, and North King Investments (Pvt) Ltd among others. In the workplace he spent 10 years with Price Waterhouse mainly in the Caribbean and the Middle East before joining Reuters where he held several positions including Middle East Finance Manager, deputy Finance Director of Reuters Asia based in Hong Kong and the then Group Financial Training Manager based in London. Subsequently he oversaw general audit at the BOC Group in the UK before becoming CFO of BOC Zimbabwe. He was Finance Director of the Medix Group and was with Meikles Ltd as CFO of the Retail Store Division from 2002 until his retirement in 2011.

Solomon Manyangarirwa

Solomon is a lawyer by profession. His qualifications are ACII, AIISA, Bachelor of Law (Honors) Degree with the University of Zimbabwe and MBA with Nottingham Trent University. He was CEO of ICEA Lion General Insurance Company Tanzania. Prior to that he was CEO of Cavmont Capital Insurance Corporation in Zambia and Deputy General Manager of CGU Insurance Company in Zimbabwe. His first job was with Standard Chartered Bank.

Kenneth Chitando

Position: Non-Executive Director

Nationality: Zimbabwean

Kenneth Chitando

A business executive with a wealth of banking experience, locally and in the region, Ken brings expertise in Project Finance, in Corporate Turnarounds, Marketing and Enterprise Development.

Ken is currently the Managing Director for AFC Commercial Bank and was the founding Managing Director of National Building Society until September 2017 when he left to pursue personal business interests. Prior to this appointment, he was General Manager Retail Banking at CABS, a subsidiary of Old Mutual. His other previous senior positions include General Manager: Gauteng at Nedbank, South Africa; Executive Director: Retail Banking & Marketing at FBC; Head: Corporate Banking at Trust Merchant Society and Business Development Executive at MBCA.

Ken holds a BSc Honors in Economics, Post Graduate Diploma in Strategic Management, Masters in Business Leadership and an Insead International Executive Development Diploma.
